iceorb- the vertical smell proof ice tray

This is an extremely "cool" gadget.

Iceorb, a tray that makes, chills, serves, and stores ice.

Here’s how it works: Put water in the rubber container with bumpy edges. Then slip the plastic cylinder inside, pushing the liquid into the cubes. Put on the lid, making the contraption air tight (and odor free). Once the water is frozen, remove the top and cylinder and pour the cubes into the cylinder, which doubles as an ice bucket. Repeat to make more ice.

That’s not all, people. Take the lid off and — voila — its an ice bucket.

The first vertical ice tray that makes, chills, serves and stores.

Shuella : The Umbrella for Shoes

Fed up with Inclement weather ruining her shoes, Rebecca Miller came up with this unique idea. Umbrellas for shoes. They come in sizes like regular shoes, in 4 different colors right now and slip over any kind of shoes.

These Shuellas are due to hit the market in September 2008.

At $50, they are a bit pricey, but they CAN be worn with anything.

I particularly like the black ones which will go with anything and the Apple green ones which are rather cool. Pink and Yellow aren't exactly my cup of tea.

The Shuellas come with a zippered pouch and cloth to wipe them with before putting them back in the pouch.

These would really help in the monsoons of Coastal India. On this trip home, I was remarking to my sister how I needed to get myself a pair of old fashioned gumboots, but these Shuellas are so much neater and smarter and cuter!

You like to keep it clean. You don’t want to make things complicated. And you hate getting worked up into a lather.

But when you need to, you want to do it easily.

Paper cleaning products may be the answer to your dirty travel needs. Soap, shampoo, shaving paper, and laundry detergent — all in nifty little packets of dissolving paper. (Think Listerine strips with suds.)

You wet your hands, rub the paper into them, and get to it. The sheets smell nice (but aren’t overpowering), lather well (but not excessively), weigh nothing, cost peanuts, and are carry-on approved. To say nothing for the travel problems they alleviate.

A ramekin or ramequin is a small dish, often white in colour, typically preferred for the preparation and serving of various baked recipes. These can be either sweet or savoury, including desserts such as the classic crème brûlée or molten chocolate cake, and savoury dishes such as moimoi, cheese recipes, potted shrimps and soufflé.

The glazed earthenware or stoneware dishes come in a variety of sizes . They are often circular, and generally have fluted sides on the exterior, though it is increasingly common to find other shapes, such as hearts or flower-like patterns. The ramekin can be regarded as a vessel of the casserole variety, and similarly, due to its robust construction, is capable of withstanding the extreme heat of an oven, or, in the case of crème brûlée, the flare of a torch flame.

Small ramekins are used in many restaurants to contain small portions of sauces and dressings for diners to apply to their food.
