Shuella : The Umbrella for Shoes

Fed up with Inclement weather ruining her shoes, Rebecca Miller came up with this unique idea. Umbrellas for shoes. They come in sizes like regular shoes, in 4 different colors right now and slip over any kind of shoes.

These Shuellas are due to hit the market in September 2008.

At $50, they are a bit pricey, but they CAN be worn with anything.

I particularly like the black ones which will go with anything and the Apple green ones which are rather cool. Pink and Yellow aren't exactly my cup of tea.

The Shuellas come with a zippered pouch and cloth to wipe them with before putting them back in the pouch.

These would really help in the monsoons of Coastal India. On this trip home, I was remarking to my sister how I needed to get myself a pair of old fashioned gumboots, but these Shuellas are so much neater and smarter and cuter!

Lavender Fleece Booties

Banish cold feet this winter with our cozy soft fleece booties! Simply pop them in the microwave for 30 seconds to warm up the lavender and flax seed inserts, and enjoy the comforting, fragrant heat as they relax tired feet and lift your spirits. Wear them to bed on a cold night, or use with your favorite lotion for a deep moisturizing treatment. Handmade in California and soooo comfy.

One size fits most women (up to a size 10). Machine-washable (inserts are removable).

Valenki Boots

To Russia with Love
no more cold feet!

The 300-year-old line of Russian footwear — originally used by peasants — is making a comeback.

The boots, a cross between galoshes and Uggs, have removable rubber on the bottom and an inch to a quarter-inch of wool throughout, which means they could keep your feet warm even in Antarctic temps.

They are suitable for men, women, and children and come in neutrals like black, brown, and gray, so they’re as flattering as they are functional. And if you fancy your booties a bit shorter, just take a knife and whack them down to size (seriously).

If only there were such simple solutions for your other problems.
